This is the second Lebron James Ambassador shoe I had the honor to design. I wanted to try something new and different for this one. Create a shoe carrying LBJ’s DNA for the Asian market, that would be lightweight and play almost like a Kobe shoe. Asian hoopers often play outside, on playgrounds, so the shoe had to be sturdy and I wanted it to look tough.I had that idea “from the playground/concrete“ . Hence a rock texture below that would nicely fade to clean lines on the upper. Add to that forefoot courtfeel + zoom cushioning in the heel + TPU shank that would also become an heel clip for added stability,on a low profile shoe. Huge shoutout to the whole team, especially Jason Petrie who finished the shoe after I left the category.It has been a huge satisfation for us to see Lebron James actually play several times with that shoe in actual NBA games (begining of season 2021)
