Skateboarding was a huge part of my childhood and teenage hood. It was my way of life growing up. Even now being a dad I enjoy riding my cruiser to keep up with my kids .(until recently when I tore my ACL, so can not wait to be back on my board). I had many many idols, too many to name here. But one of them was Daewon Song. The style, the technicality , the whole vibe. I was lucky to see him live back in the days during a WORLD INDUSTRIES tour in my hometown, Toulouse, France.Still have the pics I took with a disposable camera lol. Fast forward to now, and this man has been on top of his art forever since. Still inspiring not only me but many people to do things their way. Do « you ». Still unique. And still sharing good vibes and love for the culture. Him joining @adidasskateboarding was such a cool move too. So the other day just had that idea of creating a pro model for him. Keeping the simple and timeless lines of the type of Adi shoes he rocks, but turning the volume a little bit up. And since he is an artist, thought it would be fun to have the stripes big enough to be a white board to allow users to customize it and show their personality. Low profile, minimalistic yet bold and durable. Thanks for the inspiration throughout the years @daewon1song !
